Eye of Horus

In ancient Egyptian, the word for this symbol was "Wedjat". It was the eye of the god known as Wadjet. It is an auspicious symbol of protection and royal power from deities, in this case from Horus or Ra. It is a symbol commonly sighted on the streets of Cairo and Alexandra these days from product designs to signages.
